Hey hey time is now~~~~~~~
The fire crackled high and bright, sparks flying forth filling the dim light. The warmth on my face, a touch to my soul, a voice from within so strong, I could not sleep, I could not ignore, that one single voice that now became a roar.
All over this land..all over this world, people are gathered in strength as powerful as the mighty buffalo herd, that roamed the land with strength and might and gave to the People more than just life.... but spirit and hope and all have gathered, the voices stronger united together. Clemency now Mr. President, hey hey can you hear, the voices of so many from all over the world - hey hey Mr. President - clemency now, the time is right -free Peltier!
The protestors gather, they drum and they pray, they sing ancestral songs and wait day by day...year by year...for justice to come - hey hey Mr. President can you hear, the unity of voices - free Peltier!
The time is right for justice to come - to free an innocent man who has paid more than enough, for a crime he never did commit, his crime was only in being who he is. In living a life of poverty, of life on a reservation created by the government we see. A government that took from our men, the mighty fierce freedom and strength in being an Indian.
But we cannot change the past...hey hey Mr. President, can you hear, the unity of voices so loud - so clear? It is within your power to undo a wrong, to free a man who has been shackled too long...hey hey Mr. President, can you hear, the voices of the people loud and clear, remove the shackles and free Peltier!
Free Peltier!
Hey hey! Free Peltier!
